Imphal, Apr 10 (UNI) All is set for the first phase of the 17th Lok Sabha election in Outer Manipur tomorrow.
CEO PK Singh said polling officials will be ready for smooth conduct of elections. The officials had already started leaving for the polling stations two days ago. Helicopter will be used to transport officials and materials to 124 polling stations located in interior areas of Churachandpur, Ukhrul, Chandel and Tamenglong districts. After the end of the elections they will be airflited again.
Central paramilitary forces would be deployed at critical and vulnerable polling stations. An entire constituency, Churachandpur will be provided security by women only. As the border area is porous security personnel have sealed the border areas.
