Finance Commission to visit Chhattisgarh on July 23

New Delhi, Jul 19 (UNI) The 15th Finance Commission will visit Chhattisgarh from July 23 to 25 to have meetings with representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions, Rural Local Bodies, Urban Local Bodies and political parties of the state.
The Commission, headed by Chairman N K Singh will also have a meeting with the representatives of trade and industry bodies in the state.
A presentation will be given to the Commission by the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) and DG (Police) on “Combating Naxal Extremism in Chhattisgarh”. The Commission will also receive a presentation on the Naya Raipur Project (Atal Nagar) and will do a field visit to Naya Raipur, a statement here said.
On the last day of its visit, the Commission will have a detailed meeting with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel along with his cabinet colleagues. There will be a presentation to the Finance Commission on the state’s finances followed by discussions.
