FIFA U-17 WC: Great motivation to have your parents around to watch you live, say Indian colts

New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) With five more days left for the FIFA U-17 World Cup to kick-off, Indian coningent today thanked All India Football Federation for arranging all logistical arrangements for their parents to watch them play live at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here when they begin their campaign against the US on October 6. The twenty four team event will play fifty two games for twenty two days across six venues in India. The World Cup, which is historic for India, will begin in New Delhi and Mumbai simultaneously, while the mega event for the final will be played at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. The other venues for the mega event are Goa, Guwahati and Kochi. India, who are making their debut across all age groups in a FIFA World Cup, will play their first match in New Delhi against the US on October 6 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium before playing Colombia on October 9 and two-time World Champions Ghana on October 12 in their other Group A games. Captain Amarjit Singh sounded ecstatic saying, “On behalf of the Team I can say that the AIFF has already planned to get our families to Delhi and host them so that they can watch our games."
