Father-son duo charred to death as MSRTC bus-van collide, catch fire in Palghar

Palghar, Aug 13 (UNI) Two members of a family, including a father-son duo, were charred to death and four other people were injured on Thursday when a state transport bus collided head-on with a van and subsequently both the vehicles caught fire on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway in the district.
The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus was proceeding from Mumbai to Dahanu when it hit the road divider, jumped into other lane and collided head-on with the van coming from the opposite direction at Dekhale village in the limits of the Manor police station this afternoon at around 1530 hours.
Following the collision, there was an explosion in the van and subsequently both the vehicles caught fire, in which the occupants in the van (the father and son) were charred to death, police said.
