FATF retains Pakistan on Grey list

Islamabad, Oct 18 (UNI) Giving a final deadline of another four months, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) on Friday decided to retain Pakistan on the Grey list as Islamabad was not able to completely implement the 27-point action plan.
According to observers, the period of these four months will be seen as a beacon of hope for the future of millions of Pakistanis.
The FATF has urged Pakistan to swiftly complete its full action plan by February 2020. “If significant and sustainable progress not be made across the full range of its action plan by the next Plenary, the FATF will take action.” the terror funding watchdog said in a statement as quoted by Express Tribune.
