Fake currency notes worth about Rs one lakh seized in Bihar

Araria, Sep 16 (UNI) Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) jawans seized fake currency notes worth nearly Rs one lakh and arrested a peddler under Kursakanta police station area in the district late last night.

Commandant of SSB's 56th battalion Mukesh Tyagi said here today that the fake currency notes worth Rs 99,500 in the denomination of Rs 500 were seized from a peddler when he was searched near Hatta roundabout on suspicion. He said the peddler was carrying the fake notes in a bag.

Mr Tyagi said that the nabbed peddler was identified as Doma Yadav alias Santosh a native of Jokihat police station in the district. The peddler was being interrogated.
