Failed coup in Sudan could be plotted by supporters of ex-President al-Bashir: Reports

Khartoum, Sep 21 (UNI/Sputnik) The failed coup in Sudan was possibly plotted by members of the regime of ex-President Omar al-Bashir, who was ousted in 2019, Al Jazeera reported on Tuesday, citing a source in the Sudanese government.
According to the source, the military is engaged in negotiations with the rebel officers in the armored force headquarters in a bid to persuade them to surrender.
