Nanded, Sep 20 (UNI) Maharashtra PWD and District Guardian Minister Ashok Chavan on Sunday directed the district administration to perform 'panchanama' of the crops damaged due to heavy downpour in the last five days and pay compensation to the farmers at the earliest.
He gave this direction while reviewing the crop losses in Bhokar tehsil of the district.
Due to heavy downpour, crops such as jowar (sorghum), tur, cotton and others in Mukhed, Dharmabad, Biloli, Degloor and Nanded tehsils of the district were damaged completely.
