New Delhi, Sep 29 (UNI) The increasing incidence of cardiac arrest in India at an early age needs to be taken very seriously by the youth and the need of the hour is to take this as a challenge and take every step to avoid it.
Padma Shri Mohsin Wali, who was the personal physician of former President R Venkataraman, Shri Shankar Dayal Sharma and Shri Pranab Mukherjee, said in an interview with 'Varta' on the occasion of 'Heart Day' on Thursday that the rapidly deteriorating lifestyle causes many diseases. Is the mother of whom cardiac arrest is the most prominent.
Professor Wali, who achieved the distinction of becoming the President's personal physician at the youngest (33), said, “You have seen how fit KK, Siddharth Shukla, Puneet Rajkumar and all the youths who lost their lives to cardiac arrest in the recent incidents look so fit. Some have died of cardiac arrest at the age of 19 and some at the age of 29. At present, people in the age group of 20 to 50 are falling prey to it.
