Eleven new Covid cases in Manipur

Imphal, Feb 10 (UNI) In the past twenty-four hours, 11 persons (5M,
6F) from the general population were confirmed as new COVID 19 positive cases.
The positive persons were tested at Shija Hospital (2), Tamenglong
(1), Churachandpur (1) and Chandel (7).
The positive cases from the general population were from Emphal East (1), Imphal West (1), Thoubal (1), Kakching (1), Tengnoupal (1), Tamenglong (1), Churachandpur (1) and Chandel (4). All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were in place.
In the last 24 hours, there was no report of death. The cumulative number of deaths was 373.
The total number of discharged persons was 7. They were from Home Isolation (5), DH Churachandpur (1) and RD WING (1).
The cumulative number of positive cases was 29,148 (General Population 25,718 and Central Security Personnel 3,430). The cumulative number of recovered cases after reconciliation
with the data from IDSP, Home Isolation, Covid Care Centres Team and Death Committee
Report as on 10 February 2021) was 28,726 (General Population —
25,311 and Central Security Personnel — 3,415). The number of active cases (after reconciliation with the data from IDSP, Home Isolation, Covid Care Centres Team and Death Committee
Report as on 10 February 2021) was 49 (General Population — 38 and Central Security Personnel — 11). The recovery rate was 98.55pc.
The number of people vaccinated today was 2576. The cumulative number was 13654.
Till date, the total number of health care workers vaccinated was
12453. There were no severe reactions/allergies, adverse event
following immunization (AEFI) till date. 37 mild reactions were on home care and all of them were now fully recovered said Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, Spokesperson Health Department, Manipur.
