New Delhi, Jan 20 (UNI) Amid a multitude of charges and counter charges ahead of the February 8 Delhi Assembly polls, the Supreme Court on Monday declined to consider a petition for an immediate stay on electoral bonds notified in January 2019 to fund political parties and check the parallel economy.
A bench, headed by Chief Justice of India Sharad Arvind Bobde, gave the Election Commission two weeks to file a detailed response on the plea filed by Association for Democratic Reforms, Communist Party of India (Marxist) and others.
"We ask EC to file a detailed response on these petitions for staying the electoral bonds," Apex Court said.
