Elecrama 2018: Platform for integrated solutions to complex energy problems

New Delhi, Mar 7 (UNI) Keeping focus on the future of electricity, Indian Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association (IEEMA) will organise Elecrama 2018 to bring the entire gamut of electricity—generation, transmission, distribution, power electronics under one umbrella.
The five-day event starting from March 10 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, will witness policymakers brainstorming on the roadmap to achieve the ambitious target of ‘Power for all’ by the Government.
“The three main aspects of ELECRAMA 2018 are technology, demand forecast and policy discussion. The event will have more than 1200 exhibitors of which 300 will be foreign participants showcasing their products and services and more than 100 countries will take part. The electric expo mart will have various pavilions including power pavilion, railway pavilion and E-Tech Next to showcase the technology of tomorrow,” said Elecrama Chairman Vijay Karia.
“IEEMA is of the view that today the environment in which our business operate is changing very fast, but the Indian entrepreneur is known for his agility and ability to adapt to the changing environment. In the infrastructure and electrical segment we are moving from fossil fuels to renewable energy, from antiquated networks to smart grids, from metropolitan cities to smart cities. This trust of the government has led to a lot of interest especially in the infrastructure sector and the Elecrama 2018 will further fuel this increased interest in the electrical segment, also electronics and electronic vehicle sector,” opine IEEMA president Shreegopal Kabra and vice president Harish Agarwal on the occasion.
“The main objective of Elecrama 2018 is to focus on electric vehicles, Internet of Things (IoT), Storage Solutions and Renewable energy,” said Mr Karia who added that it would be the largest electrical experience in the world. Also, International Solar Alliance has joined hands with Elecrama.
“Without electricity, GDP cannot grow. Electricity is everywhere; no one can lead a decent life without electricity. We want to make India a global electro capital,” adds the Elecrama Chairman.
“The purpose of holding this mega event is also to connect finance with this industry,” said IEEMA vice president R K Chugh and added that eTechNxt would be the world’s largest platform that will feature the future of technology featuring state-of-the-art showcase of products and solutions.
Vice President M.Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate the Elecrama 2018 on March 10.
