ED attaches property worth Rs 5 Cr of Ex UP Minister Ranganath Mishra

New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has attached a residential plot at Tagore Town in Allahabad of former Uattar Pradesh Minister Ranganath Mishra and his family members under Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in disproportionate asset (DA) case.
The federal financial probe agency move comes after the registration of FIR by the State Vigilance Department and the investigation revealed acquisition of disproportionate assets by the Ex- Minister during his tenure as Minister for Home and Secondary Education Minister in State Government during 2007-2011.
“The investigation in respect of sources of the properties acquired, purchased by Rangnath Mishra and his family members in the name of trust, samiti and institutes are under progress”, probe agency said.
