EC issues notification for Maharashtra Legislative Council polls

New Delhi, June 22 (UNI) The Election Commission on Friday issued notification for the July 16 biennial election to the Maharashtra Legislative Council to fill 11 seats that will fall vacant on July 27.
The last date for filing nominations is July 5, scrutiny of nominations will be held on July 6, while the last date for withdrawal of nominations is July 9.
The counting will be held on July 16 immediately after polling and the result will be announced the same day.
