DSFs bidding: Pradhan to launch global road-show in Houston

New Delhi, Jul 12 (UNI) After failing to monetise the bidding round of 67 Discovered Small Fields (DSFs) in the country last year, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan has decided to launch the International Road-Show in Houston tomorrow in a bid to attract global investors.
The road shows will take place in Houston, US and Calgary, Canada as a part of promoting the Discovered Small Fields Bid Round 2016, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry said in a statement.
Houston road show is scheduled to take place on July14-15, 2016 while the Calgary road show will be held on July 18-19 July, 2016, it added.
Mr Pradhan will visit Houston and Washington DC on July 13-18.
He will meet Ernest Jeffrey Moniz, Secretary of Energy, US on July 18 in Washington and issues of bilateral hydrocarbon cooperation will be reviewed.
The Minister will also hold interactions with various think-tanks working in hydrocarbon sector in Houston and Washington DC.
Besides, he will also visit technology centres working in oil and gas spheres.

The discovered small fields bidding were launched in New Delhi on May 25, 2016.
Subsequently, road-shows for this round were held in Mumbai and Guwahati.
Under this round, 67 DSF of ONGC and Oil India Ltd, which could not be monetised during previous years, are being offered for international bidding, it added.
Progressive administrative and fiscal procedures have been introduced in this bidding process in sync with best international practices.
During the road-show a data room will also be opened in office premises of ONGC Videsh Ltd in Houston.
