Dry, chilly weather in Kashmir, Gulmarg freezes at minus 11.2 deg

Srinagar, Jan 7 (UNI) Dry and chilly weather continued in the Kashmir valley where the minimum temperature witnessed a drop but was still above normal barring at world famous ski resort of Gulmarg which freezes at minus 11.2 degree.
Though Leh also recorded some improvement, but border town of Kargil in the Ladakh region witnessed further drop and settled at minus 10.4 degree minimum temperature.
A Met department spokesman said here this afternoon that weather will remain dry in the Valley and Jammu region during the next 24 hours while isolated rain could occur in Ladakh.
