DRI officials seizes 3,099 gms of Gold worth Rs 1.38 cr ; 4 held

Hyderabad, Feb 25 (UNI) The sleuths of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Hyderabad Zonal Unit have arrested four persons and seized 3,099 grams of gold worth about 1.38 crore from their possession.

Acting on the basis of specific intelligence that four persons travelling to Hyderabad by road along the Bangalore-Hyderabad Highway would be carrying smuggled gold of foreign-origin, officers of DRI, Hyderabad Zonal Unit launched an operation on Monday and mounted surveillance at Raikal Toll Plaza, situated at Chilkamarri, on the outskirts of Hyderabad city, a DRI statement here said on Tuesday.
