Hyderabad, Jan 21 (UNI) Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials have intercepted a goods Carriage Heavy Motor Vehicle (Lorry) at Pedda Amberpet toll Plaza on Outer Ring Road in the outskirts of the city and seized 1335.4 kgs of ganja worth Rs 2 crore in the grey market.
DRI officials said here on Tuesday that based on specific intelligence that narcotic substances were being transported illegally, the DRI officials, Hyderabad Zonal Unit, launched an operation on Monday and intercepted a cargo lorry which was on its way, after loading Ganja near Bhadrachalam, and being transported to Bidar.
During the detailed examination of cargo, it was found that several bags of Ganja were cleverly concealed inside the load of ‘ paddy husk’ in the cargo lorry, DRI said in a release here.
