Chennai, Mar 19 (UNI) The election manifesto of the Opposition DMK in Tami Nadu on Tuesday promised a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the Rafale aircraft deal of the present BJP-led NDA government.
Releasing the manifesto, DMK President M K Stalin, who is heading the Secular Progressive Alliance in the State, that included Congress, which was highly critical of the deal, said allegations of serious irregularities have been levelled in connection with the purchase of Rafale aircraft for IAF.
'It has been alleged that the Prime Minsiter's Office, brushing aside the objection raised by the Ministry of Defence, established contact with the French Company in this matter'.
