Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Oct 20 2017 10:42AM Digha to get its own convention centre in 2018Kolkata, Oct 20 (UNI) New Digha will soon have a first-of-its-kind convention centre with facilities for organising international conventions, exhibitions and business meet to promote tourism, commerce, trade and industry in the state’s coastal areas. The project work has already begun. Chief minister Mamata Banerjee had laid the foundation stone of the project in July 11, 2017. The project has been planned on a 5.5 acre land in New Digha comprising a 1000 sq/mt exhibition centre, a 300 capacity seminar hall, a conference room and a modern auditorium with a seating capacity of 1000 people.
