Chennai, May 30 (UNI) Lauding yellow brigade Chennai Super Kings' (CSK)
historic fifth IPL title victory, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin hailed iconic
cricketer M S Dhoni as a man with a plan for every situation.
In a tweet, after CSK crossed the finish line off the last ball with all rounder
Ravindra Jadeja rising to the occasion with a six and four to seal the title in
a tense contest, Mr Stalin congratulated the historic CSK's 5th IPL title win.
Mr Stalin said Jadeja ensured a historic win for CSK in a difficult situation.
The Chief Minister also shared a photo of an ecstatic Dhoni hugging Jadeja
after the historic win.
"Congrats to the yellow brigade of #CSK on their 5th IPL Trophy under the
man with a plan for every situation @msdhoni!", he said.
"This is cricket at its very best and Jadeja who held his nerve in the face of
adversity has sealed a historic victory for CSK. #IPLFinals2023" (sic)", the
Chief Minister said.
Set a revised target of 171 in 15 overs under D/L method due to interruption
by rain after title holders Gujarat Titans amassed 214 for 4--the highest
score in an IPL final--CSK's top order fired with nice cameos, before Jadeja's
boundary off the last ball sealed a historic win.
