DGP chairs security meet, stresses for effective synergy among security agencies

Srinagar, Jun 26 (UNI) Stressing the need for effective synergy among all security forces and Intelligence agencies to maintain peace and security in the state, Director General of Police (DGP) K Rajindra Kumar today said that peace is imperative for development and growth in different fields which should be maintained at all costs.
The DGP was chairing a high-level security meeting of senior officers from Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Army, ITBP and Intelligence agencies held here.
The meeting comes a day after eight personnel, including an officer, and two militants were killed and 20 other personnel injured in a fierce encounter at Pampore on Srinagar-Jammu national highway.
