Delhi MLAs to meet LG for approval of ryots' land rights: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Jun 28 (UNI) Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal today said all the seventy members of the Delhi legislative assembly will collectively appeal to LG Anil Baijal to clear the Land Reforms Act Bill which will pave way for landless peasants of Delhi to own their hard toiled land.
In a special session of the Delhi assembly called to discuss and move the Land Reforms Act Bill today, Mr Kejriwal said," under section 74(4), the bill of land ownership to ryots was sent to the then LG in 2012 but he did not approve of it. Having different mindset it was sent to the President and since then it is pending.''
''But now the members will seek time from the LG in advance to discuss the matter whose just one signature will solve the long pending issue and if the LG office is not forthcoming then the House will meet the Urban Development minister Venkaiah Naidu'' Mr Kejriwal stated.
