New Delhi, Jul 2 (UNI) Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Thursday congratulated Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) for setting up India's first plasma bank, and urged people to come forward to donate plasma.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the LG said,”My congratulations to ILBS Hospital for setting up Plasma Bank to strengthen fight against COVID-19. I appeal to all recovered COVID-19 patients to donate plasma as per guidelines to save lives.”
There are strict eligibility guidelines and criteria over who can donate plasma. First, one must be tested positive for Corona. One must have fully recovered and must be free of Corona symptoms for 14 days. His/her age must be between 18-60 years.
