Delhi Govt launches scheme to allot schools to sports academies, clubs to impart coaching

New Delhi, May 23 (UNI) With a view of promoting sports activities among the students and to maximise utility of the playing space available with Government Schools, Delhi government has launched a scheme wherein interested private academies, clubs and individuals were given opportunity to impart training to students in playgrounds on Public Private Partnership model.
''In the scheme, free coaching has to be provided to government schools students by the Private Academy/Club/ Individual, for which space as available in schools will be provided free of cost by the Delhi Government,'' an official statement said on Wednesday.
The response to the scheme was overwhelming and interested Private Academies/Clubs and Individuals applied under the scheme in large numbers, it said.
