Delhi Capitals to face Smith's led Rajasthan Royals

Delhi Capitals to face Smith's led Rajasthan Royals

Jaipur, Apr 21 (UNI) After both Delhi Capitals And Rajasthan Royals came out with flying colours in their previous match will be high on confidence and will look to continue their winning streak, when they will face each others in the IPL match here at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday.

Riding on newly-appointed Rajasthan skipper Smith's unbeaten (59 runs off 48 balls) and Riyan Parag (43 runs off 29 balls) Rajasthan Royals beat Mumbai Indians by seven wickets, while Delhi defeated Kings XI Punjab by five wickets with the help of Skipper Shreyas Iyer 58 and Shikhar Dhawan's 56.

Rajasthan would look to continue to capitalise on their home advantage under new captain Smith. But they would certainly miss their opener Jos Buttler. The youngsters like Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag coming good with the bat, Rajasthan would fancy their chances.

Rajasthan have six points from nine games and need to win all their remaining games to make it to the play-offs.

On the other hand, Delhi Capitals are also riding high on confidence, having turned around their poor home form and defeating Kings XI Punjab in their last encounter.

However, Rajasthan bowling still remains a worry in death overs. Except for Jofra Archer and leg spinner Shreyas Gopal, none of the bowlers have been consistent.

Delhi would be hoping the same completion from Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer, who thrashed Punjab bowlers with their bat. With Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw at the top and the likes of Rishabh Pant, Iyer and Colin Ingram to follow, Delhi would start as a confident batting unit.

In terms of bowling department, they have purple cap holder Kagiso Rabada, who has a flair of taking crucial wickets when time demands and spinners like Sandeep Lamichhane and Amit Mishra who have the ability to turn the game on its head.

Delhi would leave no stone unturned as another victory for Delhi will increase their chances of making the play-offs.
