New Delhi, Mar 21 (UNI) The Ministry of Home Affairs approved Delhi's budget, sources in Lieutenant Governor office said on Tuesday.
Delhi Finance Minister Kailash Gahlot tweeted and informed, “Tomorrow, I shall present Arvind Kejriwal government’s budget for FY 2023-24 & my 1st as Delhi’s Finance Minister. This budget is poised to serve the best interest of citizens & take our city to greater heights. Tomorrow will be recalled as a historic day for Delhi’s development.”
Reacting to the approval of Delhi government’s budget, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a media briefing at the Assembly said, “They have given their consent to the same budget no change. This proves that the ego has been satisfied that they made the Delhi government bow down.”
“It is said that the budget of advertising has exceeded that of infrastructure, and asked to fix it. He asked where it is written that the figure of 500 is more than 20000? Rs 20,000 crore on infrastructure and Rs 500 crore for advertisement,” Kejriwal said in the House.
“LG does not have the right to write on the file. What is the work of those who have been elected, if only LG has to run the government?” alleged Kejriwal.
