Defence Min to attend Maitree Diwas celebrations in Tawang

Itanagar, Nov 14 (UNI) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will attend Maitree Diwas’ celebrations in Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang on Thursday.

According to a defence spokesman , the Defence Minister is scheduled to attend Maitree Diwas celebrations at Gyalwa Tsangyang Gyatso High Altitude Stadium Tawang this afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Defence Minister in a tweet said, "Heading to Tawang on a two day visit to Arunachal Pradesh. Looking forward to attend ‘Maitree Diwas’ celebrations and also visit the forward areas."

While Chief Minister Pema Khandu in a tweet said, "It gives me immense happiness to welcome our beloved Hon’ble @DefenceMinIndia Shri @rajnathsingh Ji to Tawang for celebration of #MaitreeDiwas. Extremely delighted and look forward to his presence today in the celebration that celebrates the ever lasting civil-Army friendship."

Singh will also inaugurate Sisseri River Bridge in East Siang district of the state on Friday.
