Dayanand Sopte appointed GTDC Chairman

Panaji, Nov 8 (UNI) Former Congress MLA and now Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Dayanand Sopte on Thursday took over charge Chairman of Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) Ltd.
According to a notification issued from the government, other members of the corporation were Dr Shrikant Azgaonkar from Margao, Dr Moddasir from Dona Paula, Joel Fernandes from Cortalim, Pallavi Shirodkar from Vasco, Earl Braganza, Curchorem, Paresh Kenkre, Pernem, Secretary (Tourism), Director (Tourism), Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) President and GTDC Managing Director.
''In terms of Article 117 of the Article of Association of Goa Tourism Development Corporation Limited Governor of Goa further nominates Mr Dayanand Sopte, Director, as Chairman of the Corporation,'' the notification read.
