Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jan 30 2016 8:55PM Datta Padsalgikar appointed as new Mumbai Commissioner of PoliceMumbai, Jan 30 (UNI) Maharashtra government today appointed Additional Director, Intelligence Bureau (IB) Dattatray Padsalgikar as Mumbai's new Commissioner of Police, replacing Ahmed Javed, who will retire from the service tomorrow. Additional Chief Secretary (Home) K P Bakshi confirmed that Mr Padsalgikar has been appointed as 40th Mumbai Police Commissioner. Mr Padsalgikar is Maharashtra-Cadre 1982-batch IPS officer. Mr Bakshi said, ''The post of Commissioner of Police, Mumbai stands downgraded to the rank of Additional Director General of Police.
