Dalit boy's drowning death matter raised in MP Assembly

Bhopal, Mar 10 (UNI) The matter of a Dalit boy drowning to death in a well in Madhya Pradesh’s Damoh district after he was allegedly denied water from a school hand pump was today raised in the Assembly.
During the Zero Hour, Congress member Jitu Patwari alleged that atrocities against Dalits and tribal folks are increasing in the state. He demanded an inquiry into the incident and sought reply. Several Congress members supported him.
However, Speaker Sitasaran Sharma said the matter could only be raised during the Zero Hour but no replies could be sought.
