Crude oil production 8.07 pc lower in Oct

New Delhi, Nov 22 (UNI) Crude oil production in the month of October has fallen as it was produced 8.07 per cent lower of the target set up by the government, a statement from Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas said here on Thursday.
In October, the crude oil production was 2885.20 thousand metric tonne (TMT). The production was 5.03 per cent lower when compared to the same month last year.
Cumulative crude oil production during April-October, 2018 was 20294.59 TMT which is 4.65 per cent lower than target for the period and 3.65 per cent lower than production during corresponding period of last year.
Natural gas production during October 2018 was 2797.67 Million Standard Cubic Meter (MMSCM) which is 7.05 per cent lower than the target for the month and marginally lower by 0.38 per cent when compared with the same month last year.
Cumulative natural gas production during April-October 2018 was 19051.95 MMSCM which is 7.64 per cent lower than target for the period and 0.88 per cent lower than the production during corresponding period of last year, the statement added.
