CPI(M) raises voice against vacancies of Teachers and Heads of Schools in Andamans

Port Blair, Dec 6 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Tuesday reiterated its demand for filling up all vacant posts of teachers and heads of schools under the Education Department.
CPI-M Andaman and Nicobar State Organizing CommitteeSecretary D. Ayyappan told UNI that during his visit to North and Middle Andamans over the last few months, people have informed him that there is a shortage of teachers in almost all the schools. Studies of students have been adversely affected particularly in subjects like Mathematics and, Science.
Ayyappan has written two letters to the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the last six months.
