CPI(M) General Secretary Yechury slams NDA govt over 'attacks' on democracy

Kannur, April 16 (UNI) CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury has alleged that the BJP-led ruling NDA government is doing mafia work by using the central agencies.
He also asserted that the Union Government is turning the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into political instruments. Yechury said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is presiding over the ED to legalise political corruption in India, and it is said to be dirty politics played by the prime minister.'
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Yechury said, "Narendra Modi's guarantee so far is considered to be only a zero guarantee. He also said the BJP used the electoral bond to whiten the black money. He asked, "Where will money come from the loss-making companies to purchase electoral bonds in favour of the BJP?"
