New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik on Saturday joined the police personnel and helped in cleaning the Tilak Marg police station, launching the 'Swachhta Hi Seva' campaign at the Delhi Police units here.
The campaign will go on between September 15 to October 2.
Mr Patnaik commended the role of sanitation workers for work in maintaining the police stations and awarded them kits and mementos.
He underlined the importance of cleanliness and stressed on the importance of hygiene in day-to-day life.
'Delhi Police has given importance to the cleanliness and hygiene throughout the year, it is being done in a more organised and concentrated manner during this cleanliness campaign to provide a better environment of service delivery to the citizens of Delhi in all our police premises', said the Mr Patnaik.
Senior officers including Spl CP, Law and Order(South), Jt CsP/ SR, SW, NDR also joined the CP in this cleanliness campaign.
Other officers of Delhi Police and personnel joined the campaign at police stations and units in which where the cleanliness drive was conducted in and around the police establishments.
