Covid-19: Jharkhand 's tally reaches 1,07,469

Ranchi, Nov 22 (UNI) The Coronavirus tally in the state on Sunday reached to 1,07,469 as 137 new cases were detected across its 15 districts.
During the day five deaths were reported, including two from Ranchi and one each from Bokaro Hazaribagh and Dhanbad as a result of which the overall death count has reached to 951. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.88 percent.

As per the information provided by the health department, the number of active cases in the state currently stands at 2,289 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 1,04,229.
On Sunday, maximum number of 77 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 12 in Garhwa, seven in Bokaro, six in Godda and five each in Deoghar and East Singhbhum (top five districts). During the day no cases were found in Chatra, Dhanbad, Gumla, Khunti, Latehar, Lohardaga, Pakur, Sahebganj and Simdega districts.
A total of 272 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 129 from Ranchi, 36 from East Singhbhum, 17 from Jamtara, 10 each from Bokaro, Gumla and Ramgarh and nine each from Sahebganj and Deoghar districts.
Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone past the 96 percent mark to currently stand at 96.85 per cent in the state.
