New Delhi, Mar 29 (UNI) Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Sunday contributed Rs 2 crore from his MPLADS fund to fight the Coronavirus outbreak.
Of this, Rs 1 crore has been contracted in central pool and another Rs 1 crore specifically for Pune Administration to buy medical equipment to treat COVID-19 patients.
"From my funds under MPLAD scheme, I am sanctioning Rs 1 crore for various medical equipment - ventilators, monitors, ECG machines, defibrillator, suction machines, portable X-ray machine, and fogger to cater to the needs of the hospitals in the treatment of COVID-19 patients in Pune," said Javadekar in a letter to the District Collector of Pune.
