Cooking through natural gas pipeline to start by 2024 in Patna–Modi

Patna, Dec 12 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi today said that cooking in 1.75 lakhs households of Patna would begin through natural gas that would be made available through pipelines by 2024.
After reviewing the pace of the work with the officers of Gas Authority India Limited (GAIL) related to laying of the pipelines in the state capital, Mr Modi said here today that the natural gas through pipelines under city gas distribution would be made available to nearly 1.75 lakh houses. He said that a target to provide CNG in 2.20 lakh vehicles has also been set by the said period.
He elaborated that pipeline in 436 Km length would be laid via 439 villages of 9 districts by Fulpur – Haldiya pipeline at an expenditure of Rs 1764 crore while in 278 Km length via 197 villages of six districts it would be laid by Barauni –Guwahati pipeline till December 2020 under Prime Minister Energy Ganga Pipeline project.
