Congress to continue its agitation against rising petrol and diesel prices

Ranchi, Sep 11 (UNI) The Jharkhand Unit of the Congress party has decided to continue its agitation against the rising petrol and diesel prices in the state and demanded the state government to reduce the VAT on petroleum products.
JPCC spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey said that it appears that the central and the state government are in no mood to reduce the prices of the petroleum products and give respite to the people. He said despite the prices of crude oil is declining drastically, during the BJP regime, people could not get its benefits.
He said that nations like USA, England, Malaysia and Israel were selling petrol at Rs 34 and diesel at Rs 37 but the prices of these products in the country have sky rocketed. He said his party had drawn BJP's attention towards these issues but those have fallen on deaf ears.
