Congress party committed to protect rights of farmers: Joseph Dias

Margao, Oct 31 (UNI) South Goa District Congress President Joseph Dias on Saturday alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was busy in pleasing crony capitalist friends of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hence three laws had been brought which were completely against farmers.
Speaking at Anti-Farmers' Protest held at Lohia Maidan here, he said,''Congress Party has launched nationwide protests today and we are committed to protect farmers' rights.' The anti-people BJP is living in Virtual World of glorifying Narendra Modi and hence can't hear the cries of poor farmers.''
The protests were organised as nationwide campaign of Congress Party to oppose anti-farmers laws and policies of BJP Government.
