New Delhi, Aug 19 (UNI) The Congress on Friday slammed Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided latter's residence in connection with a case related to alleged excise scam.
"CBI raid on Kejriwal government's Excise Minister Manish Sisodia's residence today came as no surprise to Delhi Congress. We have been demanding a probe on the 'Liquor scam' from the day the new Liquor policy was implemented as Sisodia's role in the scam was very clear," Delhi Congress chief Anil Kumar Chaudhary.
Hailing the CBI raid on Sisodia's residence, he said, " Delhi Congress had complained to the Police Commissioner and the Lt Governor, with supporting evidence regarding the scam, demanding a CBI probe to unearth the extent of corruption and Sisodia's role. He was Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's proxy in the liquor deals."
