Cong says its ‘speak up India’ campaign was a historic success

New Delhi, May 28 (UNI) The Congress on Wednesday said that its ‘speak up India’, campaign, to highlight the Union government's gross failure in addressing the problems faced by migrant workers, farmers, daily wage earners, traders and small entrepreneurs was a historic success given the huge participation and public response and support.
In a statement, AICC general secretary in-charge of organisation KC Venugopal said that with massive and proactive participation of ordinary citizens, grassroot Congress workers along with the Congress president Sonia Gandhi, former president Rahul Gandhi, senior AICC leaders and Office bearers, MPs and other people's representatives in this campaign, 'speak up India' emerged as the biggest and most robust digital protest movement in the Country.
“The hashtag #SpeakUpIndia has topped global trends on Twitter and Facebook. According to the feedback received at the social media department of AICC, over 57 lakh people have posted live videos, which has reached upto 10 crore people. The popularity of the campaign and the support received from the people are explicit from these statistics”, Mr Venugopal said.
