Cong's Revanth Reddy defeats Rajashekhar Reddy in Malkajgiri seat

Hyderabad, May 23 (UNI) Congress candidate and a two-time former MLA from Kondangal assembly constituency, Anumula Revanth Reddy has won the Malkajgiri LS seat, country’s largest LS seat in terms of number of voters, by defeating his nearest rival TRS candidate Rajashekhar Reddy Marri by a margin of over 10,000 votes in the elections held in single phase in Telangana on April 11.

Revanth Reddy has secured 38.63 per cent votes share (6,02,907) while Rajashekhar Reddy, son-in-law of Malla Reddy, got 37.93 per cent votes (5,92,485) and the BJP candidate N Ramchander Rao, who was secured 19.47 per cent votes (3,03,851), maintained third place.
