Cong protests in front of EC, alleges 'bias'

New Delhi, Dec 14 (UNI) Congress leaders and party workers held a dharna in front of the Election Commission on Thursday, alleging that the election body has turned a blind eye to the violation of the model code of conduct by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
They said the Prime Minister organised a roadshow with BJP flags as he went to vote in Sabarmati during Gujarat Assembly elections, thus violating the MCC.
The protest was led by Congress leaders Jagdish Sharma and Sushmita Dev. They said they have also submitted a memorandum to the Commission, registering their protest. On being asked whether they can question an autonomous body, Ms Dev said they have right to question any institution in a democracy.
