Cong protected rich, considers minorities as vote bank: Raghubar Das

Chatra/Latehar/Daltonganj, Apr 23 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today attacked the Congress while seeking votes for BJP candidates from Chatra and Palamu Lok Sabh seats.
He said the party captured power in the name of removing poor while after coming to power it only protected the rich.
The chief minister said the Congress had a long association with scams and pointed out its tenure from 2004-2014 during which a series of scams took place in the country. He said that the coalition government did not value any schemes for the poor but things have changed after 2014 and schemes meant for the poor are actually reaching to them.
Mr Das said that the elections of 2014 will decide the future of the country.
'In 2014 the people had rejected the dynasty politics and handed over power to the son of a poor family. Similarly this time also they will vote for Modiji,' Mr Das said. He said that during the 10 years of Congress rule work of NTPC in Tandwa was hampered and it was Prime Minister Modi who started the work of NTPC so that people could get direct and indirect employment.
Mr Das said that prior to 2014 Chatra was known for Maoists but after a strong and stable government came to power the backbone of the ultras has been broken in the state. He said that in the last four and half years of his rule in 30 lakh homes power had been provided while construction of 117 grids and 257 sub stations was on in the state. He called upon the youth to accord priority to nation first during casting their votes.
Later in Balumath and Manatu he alleged that the Congress party considers the minorities only as their vote banks and said that on the other hand the BJP does not indulge in politics of vote bank and casteism. 'BJP works for the nation and it is due to the efforts of the government that benefit of the schemes without any discrimination was reaching to the people from all sections of the society,' he said.
He said that under the leadership of the prime minister the government had taken a pledge to remove the maoists and asked the people to vote for the BJP as for the party the security of the people comes first.
Mr Das also attacked the JMM and said that it had sold Jharkhand and said that now these people are talking about welfare of the state and said that they have forged an alliance with Lalu Yadav who committed the fodder scam and added that all the corrupt people have gathered with the solve motive of removing Modi.
