Cong MLA moves privilege issue against  Finance Secretary on restricing delegation of financial powers

Puducherry,Nov 20 (UNI) Congress legislator Jayamurthy moved a privilege issue against Finance Secretary V Candavelou for issuing a circular not to implement the orders of Chief Minister V Narayanasamy restricting delegation of financial powers on expenditure management.
However, Mr Narayanasamy later set aside the circular issued by Mr Candavelou as 'null and void'.
Mr.Jayamurthy submitted a letter in this regard at the office of Assembly Speaker V Vaithilingam on Monday night as the latter is out of station.
Mr Jayamurthy while talking to Reporters just said that he had moved a privilege issue against Candavelou on financial powers.

When contacted Mr Vaithilingam, he said that Mr.Jayamurthy informed him that he had submitted a letter in his office and action as per law would be initiated after going through the letter.
He also said that Privilege Committee Chairperson and Deputy Speaker Sivakozhunthu is now abroad and the letter would be handed over to him on his arrival.
