Conditions favourable for advance of Southwest Monsoon over parts of Nicobar Islands

Pune, May 14 (UNI) Conditions are becoming favourable for the advance of Southwest Monsoon over parts of south Bay of Bengal, Nicobar Islands and adjoining south Andaman Sea around May 17.
Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during next 24 hours.
Thundersquall is very likely to occur at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and east Uttar Pradesh during the period.
