CM inaugurates Itkhori Mahotsav, pays obesiance at Maa Bhadrakali Temple

Chatra, Feb 19 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the state is not only known for its mineral wealth but is also famous for its numerous religious spots.

Addressing the people after inaugurating the three day long state level Itkhori Mahotsav at the premises of Maa Bhadrakali Temple located at Itkhori here he said that the religious spots also have many hidden stories which give a separate identity to the culture and tradition of the state.

The Chief Minister said that few days ago he had also visited the temple and he was indeed very fortunate that he has been once again provided opportunity by the deity to visit the temple.

He said that the government will work to develop Maa Kauleshwari Temple as the government wanted to make the state known for its religious spots also.

He said that whether it was temple, mosque or Gurudwara all should move forward with their own traditions.

Labour Minister Satyanand Bhokta said that it was a matter of great pride that this festival has started. He said that similar type of festival should be held in Tamsin where people from Bihar and Jharkhand come together. He said that since Chatra was a backward district therefore more attention should be paid towards its development.

The Chief Minister on the occasion launched a book show casing the cultural tradition of Itkhori. He also felicitated Madhu Mansuri Hansmukh and Vidyanand Jha.

Those who were also present on the occasion included Chatra MP Sunil Singh, MLAs of Barhi and Simaria and senior administrative and police officers.
