CM dedicates country's highest concrete tower in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Dec 18 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh today dedicated the country's highest concrete tower "Jaithkham" at the Satnami Pilgrim Centre at Girodhpuri, on the occasion of the 259th birth anniversary of the community's Saint Guru Ghasidas.
The Jaitkham, built at a cost of Rs.51.43 crore at the birthplace of the Santami saint, is said to be the highest concrete tower with a height of 77 m and 400 steps as against Delhi's 72.5-m-high Qutub Minar.
Pilgrims can ascent to a height of 65 m with the help of spiral stairs and lifts built within the tower that stands on seven huge lotus-shaped 19-m-wide pillars. It has also a 2000-capacity conference hall at it's Centre.
