Chief Secretary directs all to ensure completion of works under the MPLADS

Chandigarh, Sep 9 (UNI) Haryana Chief Secretary D S Dhesi has directed all the Deputy Commissioners and Additional Deputy Commissioners in the State to ensure completion of the works being carried out under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) at the earliest, and ensure that scheme-related information is uploaded on the websites in a timely manner.
The Chief Secretary was presiding over a meeting of the State Level Committee on MPLADS, and addressing Deputy Commissioners and Additional Deputy Commissioners of different districts through video conferencing here today.
It was informed in the meeting that funds amounting to Rs 138.85 crore had been released to Members of Rajya Sabha and 16th Lok Sabha under the scheme up to July 31, 2016, of which Rs 87.67 crore have so far been spent for execution of various projects. As many as 1,520 works have been completed and 610 are presently in progress.
